I've decided to restart blogging in earnest. My motivation for this is threefold.
Firstly, the age of proper letter writing is past. In the absence of that august form of communication, this seems a suitable substitute to keep in touch. Though there is a passivity to reading blogs which worries me. I will continue to be a relentless emailer, because it is a clearly better form of communication.
Secondly, after four years of college, I've come to realize, writing something down is the best way to find out what you know.
Thirdly, several other Jesuits whose company I am honored to join in August have kept blogs which gave me an insight into the Society and perhaps I will be able to do likewise for someone.
On a less philosophical or perhaps less methological note, Kevin visited this past week. We exhausted the cultural offerings of Youngstown, Ohio in his five day visit. Thankfully criquette knows no bondardies.
My brother Jonathan is on the left looking perplexed. It was an intense afternoon, I won the first game, Kevin won the second. Dad and Jonathan remained out of contention.
